Wanted to PM someone, but there seems to be no way, so a suggestion in the way of a query.
I live in North London, but would drive an hour or so.
I'm a new member to the forum, although I'm not so new to model flying. Don't want to fall foul of increasing regulations, so when I tried to find a flying site near my old friend's place in Richmond, I turned down the Richmond Park model flying site because the sign there says they don't allow rockets. These little gliders are hardly like model rockets, but I think I should be sure before we set off on our own. We might just as well turn up at a rocket sight that doesn't like gliders!
I'm familiar (or was in the past) with a couple of sites near Peterborough for F3J, Portmeadow Oxford for smaller free flight, but also need a place for my friends near Richmond.

A thousand apologies for this very late reply. Old age and ill health can, alas, affect even us oldies who had rather hoped that years of sniffing jetex exhaust would make us immortal.

I flew gliders in Richmond park in the 1970's and 1980's, so I know the site well. I wouldn't risk flying small jets there - the park police could well intervene!
As to where to fly now. Well, Old Warden is now just a memory, but Peterborough Model Flying Club have a site at Ferry Meadows where jets are welcome.
If you want to contact me privately I will share other places us rocketeers have flown without (yet) problems.
