HEAT SEEKER MkIII
Wing span: 28 Inches
Designed By: Ken Whiting
Description: Here's the Heat Seeker Mk.III, a little 28in Jetex glider by Ken Whiting that won a 1st in the 1963

USAF World Wide championship. The scan was from Flying Models November '66. I built and flew this

accurate and as demanding as the original author of these beautifully clear designs, to develop the

ability to visualise objets in three dimensions in my mind's eye, and it also taught me to work fluently

both in Metric and Imperial Systems, switching between both with absolute ease. All this was of

immense benefit when I went to college and later to work for an US engineering firm. This latter ability

was greatly valued there but for me it was entirely natural
